In Underwater Hockey, two teams of six members compete against each other to score a goal under 6 to 8 feet of water. The game is played with a heavy lead puck that is maneuvered with a foot long stick. The players all wear snorkels and fins.

In Harry Potter the game is played combining magic and athleticism, with the players flying around on brooms. This is not possible in real life, so they invented a much simpler form of the sport. It has the same system as the real sport, but still no flying.

Outhouse Race

Outhouse races are annually held in Mackinaw city on a long snow covered street. The outhouse must be equipped with a toilet seat, toilet paper and a motor or steering device and the house must be mounted on two skis. The teams consist of five members, four pushing and one sitting. Sounds like fun.

Pato

Argentinian national sport is Pato. Pato is Spanish for “duck” and is called that because the early games were played with a duck inside a basket. The current game is played with a ball instead, with two four-member teams riding on horses. The game has been banned several times during it’s existence cause of the violence for the duck and also for the players who sometimes got trampled. teams score everytime they throw the ball through a ring, The team with the most goals scored after the time is done, is the winner.

Fierljeppen or far leaping as it’s called in English is a traditional sport of the Frisians (Northern Dutch Province). The sport involves a long pole of between 8 and 13 meters with a flat plate at the bottom to prevent sinking. The pole is used to jump over a body of water, the jump consists of a sprint to the pole, jumping and grabbing it. Then climbing to the top of the pole while trying to control its forward and lateral movements over a body of water, and finishing by landing on a sand bed opposite to the starting point.

As if the original game of hockey wasn’t dangerous enough, someone invented unicycle hockey. The game is played like regular hockey, except that each player is mounted on a unicycle. The teams consisting of five players don’t have a dedicated goalkeeper. The same sticks are used even though the game can be played with a tennis ball or street hockey balls. The unicycles can have a maximum wheel diameter of 24 inches (61 cm).
